Hotel Excellency - Kochi

Friendly staff, big room, decent restaurant and central location

shower didn't work at all,so I requested new room , this shower didnt work either,third shower worked but wasted all afternoon with this matter. I highly recommend stay the night at fort cochin ,I paid half price, room was much nicer plus shower worked.

It is nice hotel, quite clean rooms, nice breakfast.

The staff was not competent, we had to wait a long time, a lot of problems before getting into rooms.When there was strike or autorikshaws they didnt even warn us about that and when we came back to the hotel asking them how come we cant get any rikshaw/ taxi, they finally explained, but didnt help us out - just told us to walk very far away on the other side where at the end we couldnt find any taxi either. Finally we managed to find u bus on the street which took us to the bus station. In rooms was extremely humid, very bad smell as that they didnt even ventilated rooms before we entered. Not really possible to open windows during nights, because of mosquitos. So it was quite hard to breathe during our 2 nights.

Excellent Hot water bath really helped us shrug off the rigors of our trip.

No room service breakfast.
